SUMMARY

This position is concerned with assisting the guest efficiently, courteously and professionally in all Front Office duties. To maintain a high standard of quality guest service at all times. Co-ordinate and ensure good communication is maintained throughout the hotel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To use guest names whenever appropriate.
To have a good knowledge of all the different types of rooms, hotel facilities, and hours of operation, restaurants, shops and function rooms. To be well informed about special functions and events held in the hotel on a daily basis.
To be aware of the hotel management, their office location, role and availability.
To comply with the hotels legal requirements for fire, bomb threats and Health & Safety.
To attend all training sessions as required.
To keep your work areas clean and tidy at all times.
To be fully aware of the national history of Dubai, places of interest, shopping areas, etc.
To maintain professional confidentiality and never disclose any secrets pertaining to the Company.
To carry out any reasonable duties as requested by a senior manager.
To ensure that the Hotel & Wyndham Hotel Group standards are followed as trained.
To welcome guests to the hotel using the Hotel & Wyndham Hotel Group standard.
To resolve and log guests complaints or promptly pass them to the right managerial level if unable to do so.
To check in and register guests accurately in accordance with established policy and procedures.
To copy and accurately file guest passport upon arrival ensuring legal compliance.
To be aware of the Hotel occupancy and average room rate today, month to-date and performance against budget requirements.
To be aware of the concierge desk, business center, guest relations and Loyalty Club policies and procedures to back up if requested.
To be a salesperson and anticipate guest needs when offering a room.
To follow country and company legal requirements and procedures.
To maintain cash float, according to the department standard.
To file correspondence, forms, etc on the spot to guarantee a tidy and organized desk.
Good communication and information of previous and future shifts to be maintained through the Front Office Logbook.
To actively participate on increasing of hotel revenue through upselling, walk-in and selling additional services
To enforce and follow the hotel credit policy.
To update OPERA immediately with any changes.
To liaise with Reservations ensuring Reception is fully updated on today’s arrivals.
To carry out all tasks on the daily check list efficiently and thoroughly.

Job Description

SUMMARY

The role holder will contribute to the performance of the hotel by facilitating in Storeroom for efficient receiving and distribution of hotel’s food and beverage and other goods and services. He/she is also responsible for assisting with Food & Beverage controls through turnover, inventories and maintaining par stock levels in accordance with hotel business levels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receives food and beverage items in a manner prescribed by the Food & Beverage operations of each hotel as it relates to proper rotation, stocking, pricing, and storage.
  • Ensures proper operation of freezers, refrigerators, and walk-in coolers and notify management of any equipment repairs needed.
  • Issues food and beverage goods by following the proper issuing procedures prescribed by Wyndham’s policies and procedures, which include recording, pricing, rotation, and delivery to authorized requesting employees.
  • Maintains food and beverage par levels for all items as required by management.
  • Maintains good record keeping of all items received and issued to minimize any storeroom variances, in accordance with established Food & Beverage procedures.
  • Uses computer equipment to record all transactions. Assist Food & Beverage inventories as required by management.
  • Maintains clear and organized records to ensure all reports and invoices are filed and stored properly.
  • Is responsible for storage of both food & beverage and operational stock
  • Refuses acceptance of damaged, unacceptable or incorrect items
  • Ensures cleanliness of all areas, keeping storage areas clean and tidy in strict compliance with hygiene regulations.
  • Ensures all store requisitions are signed by concerned department heads and approved by the FC/GM depending upon the hotel’s operations procedures.
  • Conducts inventory audits to determine inventory levels and needs.
  • Works closely with Purchasing to order ad receive items and equipment.
  • Adheres to all health and safety procedures particularly relating to F&B items
  • Keeps accurate recordings of all incoming and outgoing goods.

Job Summary

The Cluster Sales Manager – Corporate is responsible for effectively soliciting and becoming familiar with all accounts in his/her market segments. He/she is also responsible for prospecting and closing on assigned accounts/territory to positively impact hotel revenues. The Cluster Sales Manager is responsible for an increase in transient room revenue by increasing production of existing accounts. He/she is also responsible for month-end reporting and tracking of account production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Main Tasks

  • Develop a full working knowledge of the operations of the hotel, including Food and Beverage, Guest Services and Reservations.
  • Meet or exceed set goals.
  • Operate the Sales Department within established sales expense budget.
  • Initiate and follow up on leads.
  • Maintain and participate in an active sales solicitation program.
  • Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within your market.
  • Regularly contact existing accounts based on the tracing frequencies of the account coverage requirements.
  • Meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals as assigned by the Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing
  • Assist in implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segments.
  • Assist in the preparation of required reports in a timely manner.
  • Be familiar with all Wyndham sales policies and selling techniques with an emphasis on maximizing occupancy and Average Daily Rate (ADR).

Other Duties

  • Conduct a professional, thorough site inspection of the hotel with clients, exhibiting key features and benefits of the property.
  • Use your property’s computerized sales management system to manage the hotel’s business, including (but not limited to) generating reports, entering business, blocking space and building accounts.
  • Meet and greet onsite contacts.
  • Develop networking opportunities through active participation in community and professional associations, activities and events.
  • Review meeting planner evaluations with the Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing to ensure that issues receive follow-up.
  • Conduct research on client room nights/revenue performance, prepare account performance reports quarterly and annually, conduct semi-annual account review meetings with account representatives.
  • Prospect for new transient business.  Track all transient leads (lost and turndown).  Participate in transient, group and catering lead referral.
  • Develop and implement specific account marketing plans for appropriate accounts.  Monitor production compliance.
  • Maintain regular communication with all special corporate/preferred corporate accounts and send quarterly production reports to all clients. Communication to be property defined may include newsletters, client receptions/recognition functions, etc.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and request for pricing
  • Participate in trade shows, community & professional organizations to maintain high visibility.

COMMUNICATION

  • To conduct or chair regular communication meetings with team(s) and actively participate in relevant business meetings to facilitate effective communication.
